Kunst der Stühle

Mein Auftrag war es, die drei Designestühle – die Ameise, der Ball Chair und der Ulmer Hocker – in Form eines Magazins vorzustellen. Für mich war es eine Freude zu erforschen, welche Bedeutung jedes einzelne Element in der Komposition einnahm und wie sich die Wirkung der Seite bei der Fokussierung auf ein individuelles Detail im Zusammenspiel mit meinen Textbausteinen veränderte. In Anlehnung an das einzigartige Design wollte ich den Stühlen eine ebenso individuelle Leinwand bieten. Das führte zu meinem Entschluss, das Layout nicht wie üblich mit horizontalen und vertikalen Linien, sondern mit diagonalen Linien zu gestalten.

My assignment was to present the three design chairs – the Ant, the Ball Chair, and the Ulm Stool – in the form of a magazine. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the significance of each individual element in the composition and observing how the page’s impact changed when focusing on a specific detail in combination with my text modules. In keeping with the unique design of the chairs, I wanted to provide them with an equally distinctive canvas. This led me to decide to design the layout not with the usual horizontal and vertical lines, but with diagonal ones.
